Assistant to CEO

A24 is looking for an Assistant to support our CEO in our New York HQ. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to heavy calendar management and scheduling, covering a busy desk, internal document and database tracking, and general administrative tasks. This role requires an individual who is detail oriented, entrepreneurial, and independent with a professional and personable demeanor. Please note that this role is not a career assistant role - we are seeking a candidate who wants to learn and grow in the entertainment industry. This position is based in Manhattan with a 5-days in office requirement. 

Initial Responsibilities

  • Oversee all administrative aspects of the Executive's desk
  • Maintain Executive’s schedule, including day-to-day and long-term management of meetings, projects, and priorities
  • Schedule all appointments - prioritize meetings and communicate all relevant details to participants
  • Arrange all travel, including international and domestic trips - secure visas, book hotels, coordinate local transportation, and handle other travel-related logistics
  • Prepare expense reports
  • Identify, prepare, and compile necessary materials to ensure that the Executive has appropriate information for meetings, presentations, and special projects, as needed
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Serve as the first point of contact for a wide variety of high-level relationships between Executive and industry professionals
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of complex relationships with partners, vendors, and industry professionals
  • Compile research for any miscellaneous projects 
  • Participate in meetings and assist with special projects as needed, including planning special events, board meetings, and off-site meetings
  • Partner and work closely with a diverse range of individuals at all levels in the industry and organization
  • Be proactive and have the ability to think ahead to anticipate the needs and requests of the Executive
  • Miscellaneous personal errands

Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of professional experience (internship experience is acceptable)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in Google Workspace (Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Powerpoint) is a plus
  • Knowledge of the landscape of filmmakers, producers, and studio executives is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, time management and strong organizational skills
  • Humble, diligent and resourceful
  • Passionate about film and television and is an avid watcher/reader

Our target salary range for this role is between $75,000 to $90,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
