Director, HR Operations

A24 is seeking a Director of HR Operations to join the team. This position will play a critical role in supporting all people-related initiatives company-wide. You will oversee the systems that house the data used to measure the success of every People/Culture/Talent initiative, optimize the impact of significant vendor budgets, and ensure that A24 fulfills all relevant regulatory obligations. The work that you’ll be doing will be highly cross functional and be critical to the success of various teams and stakeholders within the People Teams and broader business. Reporting to the Head of People & Operations - this role is based in New York City.

Accountabilities

  • Guide the strategy, with a global perspective, on how we build, engage and retain high-performance teams through our systems, programs, processes and data
  • Act as point person for Total Rewards Tools & Resources (variable cash compensation frameworks, base salary leveling structures, equity administration, etc.)
  • Ensure our core HR infrastructure and systems – HRIS, ATS, Talent Management Systems, benefits, payroll, employee data - run dependably with a focus on detail, accuracy, agility and scalability
  • Supports the rest of the HR team and drive the data for all HR planning cycles
  • Make certain that all Company related administrative forms, reports, processes, and audits are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with relevant local, state, federal and provincial regulations for Benefits, HR Recordkeeping and audits and compliance
  • Oversees the development of reports from HR systems involving employee data including but not limited to: hiring & selection, turnover, performance, pay, employee engagement, training, skills, EEO etc. Drive strategy for and oversee development of executive scorecards for business leaders to determine predictive trends and make effective business decisions regarding talent management
  • Responsible for process improvement, including evaluating existing systems and procedures, providing recommendations for changes and improvements, and implementing changes
  • Manage global benefits strategy, PEO/broker negotiations, and drive open enrollment meetings with employees
  • Manage the annual compensation process, conduct salary analyses and compensation benchmarking
  • Ensure all appropriate compliance and audit of processes, programs and systems (EEO, AAP, VETS, FMLA, 401(k) audits, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other internal facing, cross-functional departments (IT, Legal, Finance) to ensure efficient, dependable, integrated processes and programs
  • Serves as the project leader for all new projects involving HR data, system changes, and implementation of new software and tools
  • Other projects and initiatives from time to time

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis on HR operations, HRIS or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in HR Analytics
  • Strong business acumen and broad-based HR experience
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, vendors and team members
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Consultative skills; the ability to build strong partnerships and to influence without authority, confidently, effectively, and collaboratively
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating successfully with global teams to deliver impactful work and timely results
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills, highly organized multi-tasker, possessing a very strong attention to detail with a high sense of urgency
  • Able to interpret people requirements and facilitate broad scale, proactive solutions
  • Superior computer skills, including Google suite, Excel, PowerPoint and various HR systems
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills and proven ability to manage a team
  • Union experience a plus
  • In depth knowledge of HR best practices and the systems that support them
  • Creative problem-solve skills with solutions-oriented mindset
