Communications Associate

A24 is looking to hire a Communications Associate to support the execution across corporate, content, and brand communications. This position can be based in our New York or Los Angeles office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drafts and edits press releases, pitches, talking points, Q&As, statements, and briefing documents.
  • Serves as day-to-day point of contact for press inquiries — fielding, logging, routing, and drafting initial responses for senior review.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with contacts across trades, business press, and cultural media.
  • Conducts research on story angles, journalists, and competitive coverage to support pitching and narrative development.
  • Tracks and compiles coverage across active campaigns and corporate moments, producing coverage reports for internal use.
  • Prepares briefing packages ahead of press interviews, speaking engagements, and external meetings.
  • Manages the Head of Communications' calendar, coordinating press interviews, external engagements, and internal meetings.
  • Owns the team's operational rhythm — maintaining trackers, status documents, and the communications calendar across the slate and business.
  • Manages the approvals workflow for external materials, coordinating across internal teams and external partners.
  • Liaises with marketing, production, distribution, and brand teams on press logistics and title campaign coordination.
  • Coordinates with external PR agencies and international communications partners on materials, timing, and approvals.
  • Supports internal communications needs including staff updates, all-hands preparation, and company announcements.
  • Maintains the team's press materials library — bios, boilerplate, approved messaging, and press kits.
  • Compiles and distributes daily press clips and surfaces relevant stories or emerging issues to senior staff.
  • Assists with logistics for press events, screenings, junkets, and panels.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in communications, PR, or a related role — entertainment, media, or agency experience preferred
  • Strong writer, able to produce clean materials quickly
  • Organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Proactive and high-follow-through
  • Sound news judgment and understanding of how entertainment and business press operates
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Discreet with sensitive information

Our target salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $135,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
